This Project consists of business concepts like Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility both of which go hand in hand in application. Corporate Social Responsibility is implemented by leaders in an organization to achieve social and environmental goals for sustainability of the environment and betterment of the society. The key aim of Corporate Social Responsibility is to align these goals with the company goals and achieve sustainability at the same time which is the driving force for the success of any corporate organization. Initially it is required to explain the role of leaders in the application of this concept. This project goes deep into the concept of leadership and explains the types of leadership which the leaders implement in an organization and applying which style of leadership would prove fruitful in a situation. The findings are sourced from leadership literature which is used to find optimum methods of applying a style of leadership in a leader who would encourage and act on promoting Corporate Social Responsibility. It is concluded by mentioning how the amalgamation of leadership and corporate social Responsibility can be applied by using leadership literature and how managers can benefit from high level of scholarship and it is also suggested how the unification of leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility can promote enhancement of literature on both the topics and how it application aids the managers.


There are many factors outside of business which are influenced by organizations and their leaders which are critical to the sustainability of the society. These factors are necessary to be taken into account by the leaders of these organizations to initiate an effort to bring about a change in the scenario. It has a multidimensional aspect to it. The amalgamation of role of the leaders regarding corporate social responsibility and leadership literature will provide a dynamic insight on the role of leaders in taking charge. Leaders have to look beyond the corporate concerns like firm diversity and employee treatment to concentrate on rising concerns affecting the society and the environment like global warming and carbon emissions. Numerous empirical studies have to be conducted on the micro foundations of CSR to successfully ascertain the role of the leaders in corporate social responsibility. Benefits of study on both leaders and corporate social responsibility will be analyzed at a minute level.

Role of Leaders

Leadership is a concept as old as mankind which originated before the existence of organizations and businesses. The work of a leader impacts his team as well as the department or the organization. All of the different types of CSR haven’t been properly though. Servant Leadership is a leadership with a motivation to lead along with a need to serve. The leaders following Servant leadership empower people and display humility among the other employees. Out of all the leadership theories for CSR, servant leadership is the best possible option which goes to the foundations of the conceptual model. Many studies on the servant leadership suggest that servant leadership generates commitment among workers, empowerment within workers to unite and job satisfaction. Among groups it generates optimized effectiveness and a harder focus on these activities and CSR. This type of leadership demands he leaders to have the quality of giving to feel comfortable with the atmosphere and motivate fellow workers. It remains different from other types of leadership focusing on improving the health of the followers and provides sustainable development of the company. There are findings which supports the fact that servant leadership is better and favorable conditions for servant leadership. The servant leadership, theorizing and the scholarship options which are well designed and give an opportunity to advance the findings related to CSR. The goal behind the well designed description of servant leadership is to demonstrate focus on the optimization of stakeholders and the whole society. This suggests that there should be future provisions for development in the leadership theories and their applications. The different motivational factors that revolve around the leadership issue will show that the outcomes differ according to the time type of he motivational factors. After observing the role of social media which involve profiles of leaders and their followers and it is also observed how different practices regarding leaderships are relevant and useful to the issue. Some leadership tests include psychological tests regarding the level of emotions which are affected by the motivation provided an insight and works successfully to generate special growth with a few extra features. The results of the findings on the leadership styles will display the multidimensional benefits of leadership styles.


The domain of CSR doesn’t contain a higher level of scholarship and the leadership literature provides a rich set of rules and mechanisms. Corporate Social Responsibility provides a chance to glide into their realm and allows us to focus the subject matter to the concept of leader management. The Top managers and authorities in UAE can learn a lot of things from this case. The first thing which should be learnt and observed is the importance of corporate social responsibility. The findings of this case also suggest that there are many leadership styles to adapt according to needs. The Servant leadership model is a very useful model for UAE managers and will prove effective for them. There is also a dire need for literature on leadership models. This case also suggests how CSR and leadership go hand in hand which should be observed in all its aspects in UAE. The final lesson which can be learnt from this is personality traits for leaders which differentiate them from the other people. The findings of this case also suggest that by uniting the efforts leadership scholarship with significant subjects in CSR. It is also observed that a specific set of traits can mitigate certain risk factors. By uniting the work on both leadership models and Corporate Social Responsibility, there is a very high possibility of a theory enhancement in both the topics. The important role of a leader and its many facets should be observed to assess the utility of the position. The extensive studies on both the topics have successfully brought out useful and relevant findings for the corporate sector and have the potential to guide individuals as leaders and help them effectively carry out their Corporate Social Responsibility with expertise.
