Strategies followed by the firm
The company aims at achieving organizational goals through excellent products and services for the customers across the UAE market. This strategy has been fulfilled through several innovations in the UAE dairy industry like the development of rich cream ice-cream from the camel milk, developing Zero calories products for customized market, large varieties of juices to encourage the people for developing healthy eating habits and life style.
3. FORECASTING
Forecasting can be termed as estimating and projecting the future on the basis of the past data and current information or evaluation of the market conditions. Forecasting is very significant for developing any new product or service or to identify the need to modify few features in products and services (Balakrishnan, 2011).
There are different approaches towards forecasting and they are mentioned in the following diagram:
Different forecasting approaches

(Balakrishnan, 2011)

Qualitative and quantitative forecasting
Qualitative forecasting are related to the elements or factors which determine the customer behavior in terms of the descriptive information obtained from them, developing the feedback from and developing the estimated sales and other quality requirements on the basis of that. Al-Ain dairy has been a challenger to the Almarai in UAE. They have been constantly providing new qualitative measures for developing a niche for itself in the dairy industry of UAE.
Quantitative forecasting is used for the elements and factors where the past trends in the market can be obtained through statistics. The main function of this forecasting is that it is based on an empirical data evaluation that has been taken into consideration for developing new strategies and products by the Al-Ain dairy in UAE (Balakrishnan, 2011).
Time horizons of the forecast
Time horizons refers to the different time period that are set while developing a product or a service in the company. It involves developing the market in such a way that it directly affects the market and on the basis of it, there are different strategies and policies developed and implemented. There are three main types of time horizons and they are:
Short range forecasts:
It is between the time periods of 3 months to 1 year. In most of the cases it is up to 3 months. For the Al-Ain dairy developing a completely new product can be forecasted and checked on short range forecasts to obtain the sustainability of the processes.

Medium range forecasts:
It is for forecasting the products that take time to be adopted in the market. It is generally between 3 months to 2 years for a product or service developed by the company. Al-Ain dairy would include farm products in these range.
Long range forecasts:
It is for forecasting the products or service on a long term basis for establishing growth in the specific industry. It involves new product planning facility location and research and development across the entire structure of the company. It is generally for 3 years and up to 5 years in certain cases (Murphy, O’Mahony, Shalloo, French, & Upton, 2014).
4. CAPACITY PLANNING
Capacity planning refers to the concept of deriving the capacity in terms of production that has to be developed in an organization in order to accustom the requirements of the people and meet the increasing demands of the customers.
Firm managing its capacity
Capacity planning is a sequential process that consists of the following steps:
• Demand forecasting
• Computing the rated capacity
• Developing the needed capacity
• Deriving alternative plans
• Developing capacity plans
• Selecting the best capacity plan (Bilgen & Celebi, 2013)

It has been shown in the figure below:

Short term and long term capacity planning
Short terms capacity planning of the company depends on the market share that it currently occupies and on the basis of that the new products and services are developed through ensuring highly efficient production system over a period of time. In the Al-Ain dairy, the products that may not generate immediate success in the market but has the potential to develop a niche for itself in the future are utilized for the same.
Long term capacity planning of the company depends on the development technologies of products and services that are to be inspected, evaluated and analyzed on long term basis. It helps in ensuring high efficiency and stable increase in the productivity of the products that are produced by the company.
Potential alternative and managing capacity
Al-Ain dairy has not only limited its reach in the dairy industry, but it has also entered the health and fitness segment of the production industry in UAE. For this, there are several long life juices, zero calories products and extremely healthy milk products developed from extremely low fat camel milk has been developed.it is one of the first of its kind to develop ice cream from the camel milk that would be rich in cream (ALAINDAIRY, 2015).

5. PROCESS SELECTION AND FACILITY LAYOUT
Process layout:

(Van den Berg, Lyndgaard, Sorensen, & Engelsen, 2013).
The main element of the process design and layout serves to be the development of milk. The process starts with obtaining milk from cows and camels and carrying various processes over it. It involves developing new strategies and technological innovations in the manufacturing of these products and series to sustain in the dairy industry of UAE.

Process Design
Al-Ain dairy is using a very flexible and innovative design across its processes. It provides the customers with a healthy as well as tasty solution to the food related problems. It provides high quality products to the customers that are relished all over UAE. The process layout that has been adopted in Al-Ain dairy is based on the functions that are carried out in it. Thus, it can be stated that the functional innovations are at the core of the process design developed and implemented in the Al-Ain dairy and farm (Van den Berg, Lyndgaard, Sorensen, & Engelsen, 2013).

6. PRODUCT AND SERVICE DESIGN
Product design:
The design of the products and services that are offered in Al-Ain is carried out by following the process that has been provided below:

Al-Ain managing product design
The product design in Al-Ain tends to be focusing on the technological development and innovations for improving the production of milk from the same number of resources. This is done by providing better living conditions and feed to the cows and camels as well as using hybrid technology to increase the production of milk from them (Jacob, 2012).
Legal ethical and sustainability and effects of its considerations
There are several legal, ethical and sustainability issues that are to be handled by the companies in UAE while being involved in the manufacturing field. Milk is consumed at high level on daily basis. Hence, it can be stated that it has a direct effect on the health of the consumers, that is, the citizens of UAE, in this case. Hence, there is a special care to be taken to ensure that the various processes involved in developing the products and services through the dairy industry are carried out abiding the rules and regulations set by the government. There are several norms mentioned under the UAE Federal law No. 7 pertaining to the legal considerations that have to be made in the manufacturing industries across UAE (TarbucK & Lester, 2009).
Legal considerations:
The production of milk should be carried out in legally permitted environment and under legally certified conditions. A proper living and healthy condition along with a self-sufficient technology has to be developed for ensuring that the legal norms and regulations are accomplished through its framework.
Ethical considerations:
The ethics code is very strictly followed and observed in the dairy industry in UAE. On the basis of it, there are several ethical norms that are pertaining to the development of products and services through the dairy industry. It involves considering the ethics related to the handling of manpower and technology in terms of manufacturing operations.
Sustainability considerations:
There is a special consideration of the sustainability in the development of several technologies and operations for the AL-Ain dairy industry.
7. LOCATION
Location of Al-Ain dairy:

(GOOGLEMAP, 2016)
The location of the Al-Ain dairy is in the middle of an extremely hot zone as shown in the figure above, where the temperature is quite high during all the seasons of the year. However, this condition prevails across the whole of UAE. So, it is not an avoidable factor. But, the technology and infrastructure that is available to the Al-Ain dairy farm with having ADNOC service station near it as well as the ADNOC vehicle inspection center makes it surrounded by sufficient resources (Yousef, 2010).
Factors considered for Location and strategy
There are several factors that have been considered for selecting the location of a dairy plant or farm in UAE. These factors have been mentioned below:

(GREYHILL, 2015)
The temperature is constantly maintained in the air-conditioned habitat provided to the animals that are kept for producing milk and other farm related products. Thus, the location is handled accordingly by developing strategies for ensuring high quality of production and standards have been maintained through the entire process. They have been developing innovative products like the “Slim Zero“ product that includes products which do not have any calories, that is, they are zero in calories. (Yousef, 2010).
8. QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Dimensions and management of quality
There are several dimensions which are accustomed across the production carried by the Al-Ain dairy across the UAE. It involves the performance, features, reliability, safety, quality, aesthetics, serviceability, perceived quality and health standards. There is a huge investment made by the Al-Ain dairy in the production of milk and development of farms in order to improve the availability of resources and increase the production at the same time. This is very important for developing the dimensions of quality management that are pertaining to the high standards of quality that have been set in the company (Scott, 2013).
Costs associated with quality
There are several costs that are associated with the quality that a company provides in its products and services. Few of the costs that are related to the dairy industry in UAE has been provided below:
• Failure cost:
• Cost of ensuring high safety:
• Cost of scrapping
• Cost of reworking
• Cost of the wastes
All the above mentioned costs have been handled and managed by the Al-Ain company through technological innovations and advancements in the manufacturing processes that has led them to be a leader in terms of innovation in the dairy industry of UAE (Scott, 2013). They have aimed at developing high quantity of production with the same number of resources through critically evaluating the costs that are associated with the quality and increasing the productivity across different operations carried in the company (Yousef, 2010).
Quality control tools:
There are many steps taken in the Al Ain Company for the production of different products and services. The quality tools that are available to them are mentioned below (Munoz, 2013):

9. CONCLUSIONS
Thus, it can be observed that Al-Ain tends to be the leader in the UAE’s dairy industry in terms of the market share that has been discussed in the above sections. This involves development of many innovative products and services in the dairy industry like the development of a rich cream ice cream developed from low fat camel milk. It also includes developing a new range of products that include Slim Zero range. They have been constantly thriving for encouraging diversification through its team that would provide them with a cross-cultural exposure within the organization. There are high quality and low calorie product developed to encourage healthy food among the people in UAE. They have also been developing healthy juices for the same purpose through its farms.

Questions and Answers
Q1 Does a tall organization (or formal) organization structure kill innovation capability? Justify your stand with suitable example.
There are many levels of hierarchy in a tall organization and this makes it very complex to inculcate any change in it through innovation. It becomes very difficult to imbibe any sort of innovation in a tall organization due to the formal structure that is existing in it. These organizations cannot immediately respond to the changes that occur in the market. Managers have a shorter span of control and there are many other such limitations that are observed in the functioning of the managers and executives that are a part of a long hierarchy of designations in these organizations. It can be stated that tall structure of an organization is good for the ego but not for the communication. For example, Coca-Cola was using the tall structure in it till 2006. It was limiting the growth of Coca-Cola and hence the then CEO of Coca-Cola, John. F. Brock, developed a multi-divisional structure in the company to improve the motivation and engagement of the employees (Narayan, 2010). Hence, it can be seen that innovation capabilities are very limited when an organization has a formal or tall structure in it.
Q2 Do you think innovation strategy and leadership initiative outlined in the case of 3M are applicable in UAE Government and private organizations? If yes, give suitable examples, if no than what strategy and initiative you would suggest for local companies.
UAE Government and private sectors are accepting the innovation but it has a strict regulation that specifies that these innovations are not against the corporate governance and the business ethics. According to the UAE Demographic features, 3M is designing and modifying the human resources, their product, their values and sustainable development policy which is environment friendly for UAE. For example, there was a value depreciation in 1984, in IBM and ROLM Corporation had acquired IBM and for developing and inculcating better values they had to reconsider its policies and make necessary changes in it. Thus, it can be stated that innovation strategies and leadership initiatives that are mentioned in the case of 3M are directly applicable in UAE government, but, special care has to be taken regarding the ethical values and principles that these strategies propagate through the organization among the employees as well as towards the customers. The strategies and initiatives developed by the local companies should not be against the overall wellbeing of the society and must not be causing any harm to the environment.
Q3 Linkage and Networking has done wonders for many companies in UAE. What do you think should be the basic factors for a win- win relationship? Explain giving suitable examples.
Linkages and Networking serves to be the core of tremendous progress and growth in many companies of UAE. There are few basic factors that would be leading to a win-win relationship and they are:
Understanding the target market:
Target market is the place where all the policies and strategies developed by the company would be implemented. Hence, special care has to be taken to identify the elements that are existing in the market and the trend that is prevailing in it. For example, in case of McDonalds, they customized their menu before launching their chain in Asian countries like India, Sri Lanka, etc. as there a large number of vegetarians in these countries (ICMR, 2005). So, customizing the menu played a vital role in the success of McDonalds in these countries.
Appropriate follow up to inculcate a healthy relationship
Staying in touch with the customers, clients and the vendors is very important for developing a healthy relationship with them. It can be done by staying connected to each one of them and developing an informal relationship with them to a certain extent. This would help in developing a win-win relationship with all the people related to the company. For example, Amazon stays in continuous touch with the customers when they receive an order from the customer and they carry appropriate follow up with them to ensure that the customers are provided each and every information regarding their product (Boulding, Staelin, Ehret, & Johnston, 2005).
Learning and Conclusion
The learnings that are derived from the analysis of the innovation management process through the appropriate hiring of innovators and develop strategies. These strategies would play a significant role in increasing the level of motivation in the employees and inculcate significant changes that are required in the development of strategies throughout the organization. At the same time, there are many critical elements and factors that are required to be evaluated and analyzed for establishing its effectiveness in the functioning of the organization.

Statement of the research problem
Intrusion Detection is a system that involves developing security through the management regarding the various activities and tasks that are performed within its system. The main aim of the intrusion detection system is to identify the problems and breaches that occur in the system across the entire network established in the organization. Developing a sustainable intrusion detection system is the major concern of the management and security related organizations in the world. It involves developing a considerable amount of research among the factors that are significant in contributing or affecting the efficiency of operations that are witnessed in the organization. For this purpose, it can be stated that the intrusion detection play a vital role in the development of security within the organization. Also, there are many factors involved in the maintenance of integrity and confidentiality in the organization.
With the advancement in technology and other significant inventions in the information Technology field, there are many devices and systems developed for tracking the performance of the employees in the organization as well as obtain the effect of the external factors on the performance of the employees. On a similar note, the main problem that exists is the assignment of the certification of confidential data by the government. It has helped in ensuring complete success across the different operations performed in the organization. At the same time, reestablishing the lost data and other information in an organization if handled manually is possible. But, the retrieving of data has to be carried out when the detection system identifies the individual and it correlates their identity with the network that is established in the intrusion detection system across the entire system and is also observed in the different dimensions that are related to the development of an economy.
The complete digitalization of the resources and information in the current scenario observed in the companies requires a considerable amount of security to protect it from getting misused or get accessed by unauthorized persons. The intrusion that is the interference in the system through violation of the network can either be by any external element for a specific purpose or it can be from an internal element that interferes in the system where he is not supposed to enter or access (US Patent No. US 6405318 B1, 2002). The incidents of unauthorized personnel handling the data has to be kept under control so as to safeguard the information through the intrusion detection system in the IT management firms.
Literature review
There are many functions that are played by an intrusion detection system. It involves certain challenges that are to be handled effectively and are to be developed accordingly for the benefit of the system. It includes considering the computational power of the Intrusion Detection system. It possesses a comprehensive view that has to be handled accordingly to ensure high levels of security and integrity in the organization. The functions that are to be performed in the organization has a pivotal role in the development of the IDS for the system across the entire network (Liao, Lin, Lin, & Tung, 2013). The main functions that are to be handled in the system involve handling of data as well as information of the organization require to be secured and safeguarded from internal as well as external elements. There are many consequences that the organization would have to face if it does not ensure proper and strict adherence to the framework developed in the organization.
Algorithm is very useful in developing the codes and other structure that is required to be developed for an Intrusion Detection System. It helps in assigning proper value to the progression that is used in the system to obtain any kind of flaws that may be present in the working as well as other conditions of the system. Generic Algorithm has the required stability and characteristics that is required for developing a successful IDS across the network. The confidential and highly technical data that is present in the organization tends to be the key factors that are responsible for the success of a business or organization in the IT field management industry (Hoque, Mukit, Bikas, & Naser, 2012).
There is a formation of patterns in the network that is present in the system. It includes several patterns to be considered and handled accordingly for the identification of the patterns that pose a threat to the security and integrity of the organization. Few researchers have developed the “Real-time Payload-based Intrusion Detection System” that would integrate the intrusion system with the network through the use of the web. The efficiency of the method to establish security across the entire system has been identified (Jamdagni, Tan, He, Nanda, & Liu, 2013). These patterns that are developed are to be studied extensively in order to obtain the different between the positive patterns that are developed daily and the negative pattern that occur rarely and develop doubts in the minds of the security personnel.
There is a huge scope of developing the intrusion detection system for the wireless applications to identify the threats that are posed across the system in a network. The security attacks can be from any dimension and hence it is very important to provide the initial knowledge to each and every one in the organization. This would be carried out by providing specialized skills training and teach the employees belonging to different fields regarding the importance of a systematic approach for identifying the threats that exist in the processes that are carried in the field of medical sciences. There are many complications involved in the organizations that are involved in critical handling of data of people and it has to be made sure that in such situations, the IDS is developed and tested to obtain high efficiency and effectiveness across the system (Alrajeh, Khan, & Shams, 2013).
Goals of the research
The research involves developing the factors that are responsible for the maintaining of security and integrity in an organization across the entire network and system that is used by the employees. The goals of the research have been identified after evaluating the systems that are prevailing in the organization and develop the required analysis for the intrusion detection system. Establishment of an Intrusion detection system in an organization need to develop certain objectives and goals for identifying the elements that are a part of the system and help in maintaining the confidentiality, security and integrity across the system.
The goals of the research are as follows:
• To obtain the accessibility of the data has to be identified and evaluated accordingly,
• To derive the confidentiality of various processes and structure that are observed in the organization,
• To obtain the “Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS)” that are used to monitor traffic from all the devices that are present in the network.
• To obtain the “Host Intrusion Detection Systems (HIDS)” that are used to monitor traffic from a single device at a time in the entire network.
• To obtain the “Network Node Intrusion Detection Systems (HIDS)” that are used to identify the traffic that goes from one network to a particular host that is handling the information in the system.
• To monitor the flow of information to and fro across the system where the network is used to maintain the flow across the different activities that are performed in the organization.
• Developing and identifying the different configurations that are present in the system and also obtain the vulnerabilities that are existing in the entire system.
• Evaluating security of the files that are received and sent through the system using the same network
• Identify the potential form of attacks from external factors on the system through the network that is available to them.
• Identify the various factors that are involved in developing internal factors prevailing in the network that is available for the system.
• Developing the ability to identify any form of irregular patterns or activities through the system,
• Obtain proper knowledge of the user policies and norms that are developed by an organization throughout the system.
• Any sort of violations of the above considered user policies and norms has to be reported and action has to be taken at the same time.

For researching the IDS in an organization, a survey would be the best data collection tool that would help in developing genuine feedback from the people that are working in the organization. For collecting the data, random sampling of people would be done and they would be working in the same organization where IDS has to be evaluated. It would provide a first-hand information about the structure and system that has been adopted in the organization for safeguarding it from any kind of intrusion and detecting as well as rectifying it from affecting the organization.
Planned Analysis
Primary analysis
It is the analysis prepared first hand by the researcher owing to his understanding, evaluation and data collected and the hypothesis developed by him on the basis of known statistics. It is the most fresh information and data that is collected on a specific topic and serves as a base for secondary analysis. There are limited sources for referring and obtaining the data. (Glass, 1976)
Secondary analysis
It is an analysis that is performed after the primary analysis by considering the conclusion and the results of the first analysis as a reference. It may be carried by the same individual who has performed primary analysis or by another individual with the objective to improve or update the earlier analysis with more effective statistical methods. (Glass, 1976)

Conclusion

Thus, it can be seen how a proper and updated manufacturing process can improve the performance of the product provided by an organization like Toyota. The best way of moving forward in a business is to keep improving and experimenting. Change is the one constant thing in the industry or manufacturing goods and the most important principle of lean when moving forward is the value of achieving the six sigma goal. It is very difficult to define such precise margins but this is what Toyota has endeavored to do and has become one of the most successful automobile companies in the world.

Project Deliverables:
• Identify the manufacturing processes, measure and evaluate them.
• Project Manager to be appointed to monitor daily performance and efficiency using the input data.
• The fuel consumption decreased by 5% where initially the number of kms per liter was 11.01 and through implementation the lean green strategies, it raised to 11.532 km/liter.
• It has the potential to increase the sales of the cars produced by Toyota due to higher fuel efficiency that is obtained along with the technical expertise and excellent performance that the automobiles made by Toyota offer.

INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY

The Domino’s Pizza tends to be the king of pizza selling companies across the globe. It is the second largest pizza selling company in the world. It is an American International food chain that founded in 1960 by Tom Monaghan and James Monaghan. There are 4722 franchised stores of Domino’s in the United States itself. Domino’s Pizza, Inc. was incorporated in 2002 and it is established at 11,900 locations spread over 80 countries across the globe (DOMINO’S.COM, 2016).
The primary product that is developed by the company is pizzas and it is also involved in producing sandwiches, pasta, chicken products and desert and ice-creams.
Industry in which the company competes
There are two main competitors of Domino’s in the global industry and they are the Papa John’s and the Pizza Hut. The store growth of the three leading pizza retail chains has been obtained in the chart given below:

STRATEGY OF THE COMPANY
Domino’s believes in providing happiness to its customers through providing products that are rich in taste, quality and services that outperform each and every competitor across the globe.

Vision
The vision of the company determines the goals and objectives that it has for itself in the future. The vision of the Domino’s is, “No. 1 in people, No. 1 in Pizza” (DOMINO’S.COM, 2016). It can be seen that domino’s strives to provide extensive service as well as products to its customers. It would help them in achieving their long term objectives and develop sustainable growth in the market.
Mission
The mission statement refers to the characteristics that the company wants to develop across the market so as to emerge as a leader on the global front. The mission statement of Domino’s is, “Sell more pizza, have more fun” (DOMINO’S.COM, 2016).
The company believes in providing a strict code of ethics and have strategies that are based on providing an ultimate customer experience to the customers.
They believe in differentiation strategy of marketing and also provide certain elements of cost based strategy.
The strategy that is developed by the Domino’s is the differentiation strategy where it does not focus on the cost, but provides a unique product to the customers that helps them in developing a niche for themselves in the market. It can be seen from the example that they developed the cheese burst pizza which is a bit high on cost but provides ultimate experience and taste to the customers (Haq, 2006).
FORECASTING
Forecasting refers to the process of developing predictions for the future on the basis of the current conditions and data available and the past data that has been obtained and scanned for the same (Balakrishnan, 2011). It helps in providing a firm basis for the development of new product in the industry. Basically, there are two general approaches towards the process of forecasting. It involves:
Qualitative forecasting method:
Qualitative forecasting method requires an extensive analysis of the characteristic and attributes of the supply chain management and other elements pertaining to different processes that are carried in the organization. It includes developing the customer behavior, customer satisfaction, the level of innovation and adaption of new strategies for the same.
Quantitative forecasting method:
Quantitative forecasting method refers to the forecasting in which the theories are developed and calculations are made for projecting the future attributes on the basis of the statistical analysis that is carried out in the industry. It is on the basis of the past trends that were observed in the industry regarding the selling of the product and the profit generated for different segments of the market.

CAPACITY PLANNING
Capacity planning refers to the development of the strategies regarding the process and activities that are to be carried out in an organization to meet the changing demands of the customers. It involves the capacity that a specific company is able to handle through its market demand. Domino’s has been expanding across different countries at a very fast rate in order to accomplish the demands of the people in different areas. A capacity can be defined as the upper limit of the load that an operating unit of an organization can handle in the market. There are three main parameters that are included in capacity and they are equipment, space and employment skills respectively (Stevenson, 2012).
For this purpose, the efficiency is to be carried out and it is given by the following formula:
Efficiency = (Actual Output )/(Effective capacity) = (65 )/90 (in millions) = 0.722 for 2015
= (55 )/90 (in millions) = 0.61 for 2014.
= (50 )/90 (in millions) = 0.55 for 2013.

Utilization = (Actual Output )/(Design capacity) = (65 )/(95 ) (in millions) = 0.685
Capacity cushion = 100% – Utilization
= 100% – 80% = 20%
PROCESS SELECTION AND FACILITY LAYOUT
Process selection refers to the deriving of a standard procedure for performing various activities in the organization. It is carried out on the basis of several factors that are established on the basis of the processes that are carried in the plant. The main function of the process selection is to establish an ideal structure that can be followed across the different operations that are carried in the organization.

Chart depicting the process
The process that is carried out in domino’s has been shown in the figure below:

(Stevenson, 2012).
Layout of the organization
Facility layout of the plant refers to the development of the entire structure of management across the system in an organization. For the domino’s, it has been obtained in the following section. The main function in developing a facility layout is to obtain a standard process for the management to be followed across the organization while ensuring high levels of efficiency and consistency across the organization. It involves developing various means and techniques for increasing the productivity of the organization across different departments that have been developed in the following figure:

PRODUCT AND SERVICE DESIGN
Product and service are a crucial part of the organization where it tends to develop means for fulfilling the needs of the customers through developing a product or service that will be able to do that. The main purpose of the product and service design tends to be:
Transforming the needs of the customers into real products and services.
Improving the existing products and policies.
Developing efficient mechanism across the processes.
Developing the product targets
Developing and testing the prototypes
Translating product and service specifications into process specifications (Stevenson, 2012).

LOCATION
The Domino’s that is located at the Damascus Street, Al Qusais, Industrial Area 2, Qusais, Dubai, has been taken into consideration. Its location has been shown in the figure below:

(ZOMATO.COM, 2016)

The above location has been obtained from the Zomato app that helps in getting the address and location of the restaurant using the google map.
Factors considered for Location and strategy
There are several factors that have been considered for selecting the location for a dominos franchise in UAE. These factors have been mentioned below:

(GREYHILL, 2015)
QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Dimensions and management of quality
There are several dimensions which are accustomed across the production and service carried by the Domino’s pizza outlets across the UAE. It involves the performance, features, reliability, safety, quality, aesthetics, serviceability, perceived quality and health standards. There is a huge investment made by the Domino’s pizza in order to improve the availability of resources and increase the production at the same time. This is very important for developing the dimensions of quality management that are pertaining to the high standards of quality that have been set in the company.
Costs associated with quality
There are several costs that are associated with the quality that a company provides in its products and services. Few of the costs that are related to the food industry in UAE has been provided below:
Failure cost:
Cost of ensuring high safety:
Cost of scrapping
Cost of reworking
Cost of the wastes
All the above mentioned costs have been handled and managed by the Domino’s company through technological innovations and advancements in the manufacturing processes that has led them to be a leader in terms of innovation in the food chain industry of UAE. They have aimed at developing high profit with the same number of resources through critically evaluating the costs that are associated with the quality and increasing the productivity across different operations carried in the company.
CONCLUSION

Thus, it can be stated that the operations management that has been obtained in the Domino’s pizza across the UAE has observed high levels of adaption of the culture and ethnicity that has been inculcated in UAE. It has been incorporated through the processes that are carried in it that the main element of the operations management is developing highly competitive and sustainable product that would out perform its competitors in the global market.
Recommendation
There is a huge scope of improvement that has been identified by the Domino’s Company themselves. They have been constantly thriving to provide high quality product to the customers. There are many options available to the production and quality development section in the Domino’s company that has the potential that is not explored to the maximum. The strategies of the company have been discussed and on the basis of that the forecasting that is done in it has been obtained. The capacity planning for different operations have been obtained along with the development of a process selection and product design process. The selection of processes has to be made on the basis of the feasibility of the operations and its capacity to generate revenues for the company in the food chain industry of UAE.
